Desktop review of rating level.
Using information supplied by the client, our analysts will undertake their own analysis to determine an indicative rating level. For rated companies, this will give a clear indication of potential upside in their current rating, whilst for those thinking of entering into the process for the first time it will give a good idea of the range they might achieve with the major rating agencies.
Rating Agency presentation review.
You've prepared a presentation for the rating agency, but are you covering the right areas? Are there areas that you should expand on, and are there areas that are simply not of interest to the agency analysts? Have you answered all their questions and in the correct format and manner??
We can provide a detailed review of the presentation which is likely to include discussions between the client and our analyst(s).
Presentation rehearsals.
You think the presentation is looking good, now you have to deliver it to the Rating Agency at a review meeting . We can offer you a 'dress rehearsal' run through in front of experienced analysts who will act as if they are receiving your presentation and questioning you on its contents.
'Dread questions' run-through.
What are the worst questions that the rating agency might ask you? How will you answer them? Are you prepared? As the saying goes, fail to prepare, prepare to fail…. It should also be remembered that the questions will be broad based and about your company, they will not be purely about the written presentation.
Challenge Group has techniques to help you identify your weaknesses and to be prepared for the most difficult questions that might come up in your meetings with the rating agencies.
Modelling assistance.
Rating agency quantitative models are forever being amended and improved. If you don't have the modelling resource or experience, it can be a daunting task just filling them in, and even if you do have the resource, there's always a chance that there are errors. We can either help you complete your models or simply review your work to limit the possibility of errors.
Assistance at the rating meeting.
Providing the rating agency is in agreement we can provide an expert who will be present during your meeting, offering advice and support.
Review of agency feedback.
Are their conclusions reasonable? Does the rationale give a fair representation of the financial strength of your rating? Are there reasonable grounds for appeal or simply further discussion? Is there further action you should be taking?
We will provide a short report responding to the feedback from the agency.
